Why We Built This Site
Missouri provides several public access routes, yet each answers a different question. Cole County Jail creates booking and custody records. The Circuit Clerk keeps filed charges, docket events, judgments, and certified court copies. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division operates the statewide repository and MACHS products. Corrections tracks state incarceration and supervision, while MSHP also maintains the public sex offender registry. We bring those official contacts, request steps, search fields, and known fees together so the correct record can be traced to its source.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: ways to search and read Cole County criminal court cases
- Official-check steps: how Missouri name-based and fingerprint record checks differ
- Agency contacts: routes to the sheriff, Circuit Clerk, jail, and statewide systems
- Record relief information: Missouri expungement rules and the Cole County filing counter
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Missouri court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those boundaries mean we cannot:
- Run an official background check or retrieve a person's record
- Submit a Sunshine request or expungement petition for a visitor
- Issue a certified court file, criminal history, or booking document
- Give legal advice about a charge, warrant, disposition, or petition
- Promise that a government fee, office hour, or portal has not changed
Only the issuing sheriff, court, police agency, or Missouri State Highway Patrol repository can provide and authenticate its official criminal record.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their services, prices, data practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. We do not operate those searches or guarantee that a result is complete, current, or matched to the right person.
